Tap into your Feminine and watch your business THRIVE!

In this ground breaking 3 Part Series I share with you why your old employee thinking wont help your business THRIVE. You see most of us are used to being in an employee mindset, having come from the corporate world. The problem is, that the employee mindset is a Masculine way of doing business. That’s why you were probably overwhelmed, frustrated and burnt out as an employee.

However most of us then use the same thinking to build our businesses and wonder WHY we still feel so out of balance. That’s because we MUST tap into our FEMININE side. Believe it our not, the biggest Male Entrepreneurs tap into their FEMININE to become successful billionaires. You see, this has nothing to do with gender and everything to do with FINDING BALANCE.

So check out these 3 videos – each is 10 minutes or less – and learn how to bring in your Feminine into your business and watch it THRIVE!

Would you like to join me, in balancing out your feminine and masculine?? Meet me at the spa: http://outsidethecubicle.com/spaday/

New Orleans, San Diego and Omaha??

My Husaband and I at Oak Alley

How are things?? Keeping busy?

Yeah me too. I hope you aren’t burning out though.  In fact, I’ve realized that I’ve built up a LOT more capacity and to tell you the truth I am LOVING it.  In fact starting last week, I embarked on my whirlwind tour around the country.  My husband and I were in New Orleans on vacation, returning for a few days before I set off to San Diego.  Later this month I head to Omaha where I get to meet up with the other members of the board that I’m on.  To tell you the truth, in the past I would have been burnt out, but now, I seem to have more energy than ever.  And can I tell you a secret??  The only thing I did was shift taking care of myself to be number 1 priority.  To “indulge” in things that I enjoy and to connect with people that give me energy.

As a woman and entrepreneur we are meant to keep our energy up so that we can take care of others. The only way I have found to do this, is to take care of ourselves first. Now that I’m finally allowing that concept to be incorporated into my life and not beating myself up or questioning what I’m doing I’m noticing my business and personal life are better than ever.  So, when I feel like getting a massage, I do it.  When I want to take a break from work, I do that too. If I feel like sleeping 9 hours I allow it to happen.  No judgment, no worry, no second guessing.

I encourage you, for the next 2 weeks to jump on in and take care of yourself.  Without judgment, worry or questioning, do the things that you feel would serve you and just see how you and your business will expand.

Together Let’s Thrive,

P.S. Leave me a comment below and let me know what you notice

Are you vulnerable?

I came across this video recently and thought – YES!!! This is how I coach my VIP’s – be authentic and real. Have a good relationship with yourself and watch your business grow from there! Take a look:

Your Values Your Truth

Values express what is most important to you.  Personal alignment in business includes being congruent with what you say is important to you, what you value, and how you spend your time, money and energy.

If you’ve ever been in a situation that is misaligned with your values, you know how uncomfortable it can be.  However, oftentimes we are misaligned with our own values and do nothing about it.  By identifying your values here, it forces you to consider if you are in conflict with yourself and then to take the necessary steps to make appropriate adjustments.

Identifying your values

In this exercise, we will not be using the word values to describe a sense of morals or a personal philosophy.  That’s a valid way to define values, but we will instead be using values to mean the qualities that define you, that are at the core of who you are. Without these things, you would not be you.

Our values help us make choices about what we commit to in our lives. If you commit time and energy to something that violates or neglects one of your core values, you will start to feel resentful and frustrated. If you are not honoring your values in your choices of activities and relationships, you will get that nagging feeling that something is missing or wrong in your life.

While it is enormously helpful to know our core values, it’s not always easy to identify them. I’d like you to create a list by thinking about the ideas below. Don’t worry about getting it “right” and capturing all your values. Your list will be a work in progress. Also, your values don’t have to be a single word-they could be strings of words or sentences. Find the words that work for you.

To help identify your values, think about the following:

What is important to you?
What do you care about? What do you want in your life?

Peak experiences

Pick a time when has life been rich, full, exhilarating, flowing? And pick a time there may have been challenges, but you were on a roll. It may have been a few minutes, or hours, or weeks. What was important about these experiences both positive and challenging? What values were you honoring during those times?

Crazies

What drives you nuts or makes you angry or frustrated? Think about one of these things. What value(s) is being violated? What is being stepped on? What is it that you can’t live with and still be true to yourself?

Invisible Values

What is so much a part of who you are that you haven’t even thought to put it on the list?

Now jot down your top 10 in order of importance.  In business you can chose how many of these become a core part of your business and which of these will be fulfilled in different areas of your life.  The import take away here, is that once you are aware, you have the power to make a choice!

The message from the massage

Hello Ladies!

If you read my message from yesterday, you know that I received a major business download while getting a massage. So, here it is! The business download that has got me super excited and ready to give more! Read on to see how you can benefit from my massage. J

While getting my massage, I was thinking about how I might be able to help more women turn their businesses around. Remember back in November when I promised I would give you more amazing content with higher value and lower cost??  Well, I had a major download right there while in the midst of a massage…

Because I am tired at watching women struggle in silence, I am launching something very special. For a select group of lucky ladies, who are frustrated and overwhelmed in their business I am holding a 12 week intensive program (think Biggest Loser for Business Building!), that was previously by invitation only, called the Business Turnaround Challenge.

In this amazing program, you will have the opportunity to make 2011 your turnaround year. It will be the year that has you climbing out of debt and into the space of abundance. Take you from feeling overwhelmed and scattered to in charge and focused.  In this powerful 12 week hybrid program, you will get to lay the foundation to double your income AND increase your time and freedom to do more of the things you love!

Now I’m sure you’ve already tried marketing seminars, sales how to’s and don’t want to buy one more product or training, but this program is different. This program was designed with the female entrepreneur in mind. It contains my very own proprietary formula that has changed the lives of countless women, helping them to no longer struggle in their businesses. Not only that, but I will hold your hand step by step, so that your business not only starts making sense to you, but starts to work for you instead of against you.

Imagine what it would be like, if on December 31, 2011 you could say “2011 was the best year in my business and my life!” … what would that be worth to you?

You might be thinking, “Enough Silvia, I’m in, sign me up”. But because I want to make this program stellar and ensure that you get the most out of your investment, this program is by application only.  So if you feel that this program might be right for you, and you want to learn more, I encourage you to complete the following application form: http://outsidethecubicle.com/coaching/busapp/ before February 1 @ 5pm pacific, for consideration (Note: Applying for the program in no way obligates you to buy).

In addition to getting details about the 2011 Business Turnaround Program, accepted applicants will receive a 45 minute business consultation with me (worth over $325). So it really is a win-win opportunity for you (remember, I’m giving more value this year)!

Getting Excited For 2011

I suggest you set a little time aside to go for a walk, journal, or curl up in your favorite thinking spot to answer these questions. Allow yourself to explore to your heart’s content. When you start feeling that excitement you know you are dialed in to your head, heart and gut!

Getting Excited for 2011 Questions:

  1. 1.   What 1 thing do you most want to accomplish in 2011?
  2. 2.   What 1 thing do you want to let go of in 2011?
  3. Who do you want to be by the end of 2011?
  4. How do you want to be living by the end of 2011?
  5. Who would you most like to reconnect with in 2011?

Really allow yourself to answer these questions honestly with no judgment and only love and compassion.  Once you are done exploring those questions do the following exercise to turbo charge and allow for the real excitement to set in.

Getting Excited for 2011 Turbo Charge:

Now imagine yourself this time next year, having accomplished all you wrote. Notice what you look and sound like.  Step into her, the you of 1 year from now, and notice how you feel, how you move and how you think.  Linger there for as long as you’d like.  Journal about what it’s like to be in this space.  Even take a moment to write yourself a few bits of advice from this place of wisdom and growth. Give this space a symbol, color or a name. And when you are ready take a step back into your current self, bringing that symbol, color or name back with you. Consider what you just experienced.  Reread what you wrote and notice the excitement that ensues.

You are well on your way to accomplishing many amazing things in 2011!

I don’t have enough time!

First of all, this is not just another time management article. As we all know the moment you try to manage anything it seems to slip away more easily than if you had left it alone. Therefore when it comes to looking at fitting in more into your day, you need to take a different approach.  I believe that time passes us by as entrepreneurs due to the pervasive myth, “I need to work hard for my money”.  As if the only way we deserve the prosperity is via our blood, sweat and tears.  Further, this myth continues to be propagated and passed from business owner to business owner until it is just a “Myth” in “Truth’s” clothing.

How do I know this is just a myth?  Because I spend 3-4 days a week working no more than 8 hours a day and manage to bring in six figures. I also have many other friends and clients who are also living in this truth, where they are super productive, but don’t ever worry about burning themselves out. You may be asking, how do I change this perception for myself?  There are many components to pealing this myth back, but one key tool is distinguishing between the concepts of efficiency versus effectiveness.

In The 4 Hour Work Week, Tim Ferriss states that:

  • Effectiveness is that which you do that gets you closer to the goals you want to achieve
  • Efficiency is how quickly you can get things done, whether it is important or not

The distinction being that we will fill up space and time that will keep us busy all day because that is what we believe we need to be doing. In fact, when I left the corporate world and started my own business, I used to spend hours filling up the work day.   I didn’t have clearly defined goals and had a lot of empty space left behind from not having to commute.  With this added time, no goal other than launching a business and an extreme guilt that I wasn’t working hard enough, I spent a lot of time at the computer, researching, learning, and emailing everyone and no one in particular at the same time.

Once I worked with a coach, set goals and then assessed how I spent my time against them, I was able to cut out a full day of “working” and I ended up bringing in more money into the business.  All because I was tracking what I did in a day against my goals! To this day my coach keeps me on track. Making sure that each goal I have tracks directly back to the financial goals of my business.  This sometimes is uncomfortable, but it’s the only way to move a business forward.

Your challenge, should you choose to take it is:

Look at your business goals and make sure they are tied to financial goals. Assess how your spending your time against the concept of efficiency versus effectiveness. Take a hard look at things that are “efficient” and find ways to stop, automate or delegate.
